Back fifty years ago or so, I remembered sitting in the movie theater with my big brother watching John Wayne in THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY. Wow. What a flick. To say that it is a pleasure to republish the book would be an understatement. This is truly a classic. If you are old enough to remember the theme song from the movie, I dare you to read the book without whistling.
