Twenty years or so ago, I went to one of the evening movies at (the then) Air Force Museum. They were showing a movie that I had heard of, but had never seen. It was ISLAND IN THE SKY starring, among others, John Wayne.

It was a great flick and it sent me on a search for the book. My wife finally found a copy of it in England and it was part of my Christmas that year. It not only was a great read, but also a great investment, as that edition is now worth about $500.00.

Twenty years later, Dobie Gann and myself are proud to reintroduce the book to the reading public.
